Once a shameful patch on the bright dress of Barcelona , the Old Port was reborn in the 90s: an unsightly view of the embankment was blocked by new wooden pavements, shopping centers, a lot of cafes and restaurants, the Aquarium and the IMAX cinema. Today it is the most popular shopping area of the city. Among other things, water excursions around the port and docks on boats “holondries” start here, here there is a station of the suspension road that delivers to Montjuic, and also – bake the most delicious wafers in all of Barcelona. Two main promenades in the Old Port – stretching along the Moll de la Fusta berths, favored by cyclists, skaters and dog owners, and Moll d’Espanya, leading to the Maremagnum shopping complex – the main mall of the area.
To the promenade de la Fusta, the St. Eulalia boat-boat was moored – a schooner built in 1918, restored by the masters of the Maritime Museum, the package boat is open all days of the week, except Monday, from 10:00 to 20:30 in the summer (from March 27) and from 10:00 to 17:30 in the winter (from October 30), entrance fee. Sometimes the ship goes to plow the expanse of the Mediterranean, and the berth is empty.
The nearest metro station to the Old Port is Drassanes.
